The Institute of Marxism at Tsinghua University conducted a teaching activity on "Modern Industrial Systems and Labor Practice" at Northern Heavy Industries Group Co., Ltd.(NHI)
On July 16th, more than 30 teachers and students from the Institute of Marxism at Tsinghua University visited NHI to participate in the teaching activity of "Modern Industrial Systems and Labor Practice" for the summer semester of 2024. Liang Xiu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Trade Union of NHI, warmly received the reception.
Liang Xiu warmly welcomed the teachers and students from Tsinghua University and introduced the basic situation of Fangda Group and NHI. He stated that Fangda Group is a large cross industry, cross regional, diversified, and internationally competitive enterprise group with carbon, steel, pharmaceutical, commercial, and aviation sectors as its core. It has total assets of over 400 billion yuan and nearly 130000 employees. NHI is an important heavy equipment manufacturing enterprise in China, known as the "cradle of China's heavy machinery industry" and laying a solid foundation for the development of China's heavy industry. Since joining Fangda Group, NHI has relied on flexible and efficient institutional mechanisms to quickly adjust its management system. By fully leveraging incentive mechanisms, it has promoted the implementation of innovative development strategies and achieved good performance in domestic and international markets. Liang Xiu emphasized that as a subsidiary of Fangda Group, NHI is guided by the corporate culture of "Party building as the soul", adheres to the leadership of the Party, practices the development path of "a great country's heavy equipment, serving the people", adheres to scientific and technological innovation and self-reliance, and promotes business through Party building, which is the foundation of NHI's establishment.
The teachers and students of Tsinghua University highly praised this practical teaching and sincerely admired the rich industrial heritage presented by NHI's century long development history. At the symposium, students actively raised their concerns and learned about the historical heritage of NHI's self-improvement and the latest achievements in innovative development. They gained a renewed understanding of the mixed ownership reform and a deeper appreciation for the practical application of the Party's innovation theory in enterprises.
Peng Tao, Vice President of the Party School of Tiexi District Committee in Shenyang, accompanied teachers and students from Tsinghua University to participate in this teaching activity. He said that Tiexi District plays an important role in the rise of Shenyang and even the northeast heavy industry base. It gathers a large number of industrial enterprises and has accumulated a wealth of industrial experience. NHI has inherited and carried forward the spirit of "100000 military pickaxes", which is a distinctive banner of China's industrial development. We hope that students can gain something here.
