NHI: A Practitioner-to promote the High-quality Development of Sand Aggregate Industry
On April 18, an amendment meeting of GB/T14684 Aggregate for Construction and GB/T14685 Pebbles and Gravels for Construction was held via a video link by China Aggregates Association, for the purpose of deploying the amendments of these two national standards. NHI under the Fangda Group, as a key enterprise leading the design, R&D and production and manufacturing of mechanism aggregate equipment in the aggregate industry, was invited to participate in the revision work.
NHI was again invited to participate in amending these national standards hosted by China Aggregates Association after the completion of mixed ownership reform and the sixth International Aggregate Science and Technology Conference sponsored by China Aggregates Association, showing the leading position of NHI in the field of aggregate equipment manufacturing.
Big Enterprise Undertakes Big Responsibilities
NHI has a long history and played a very important role in international and domestic heavy machinery manufacturing industries. NHI is a national high-tech enterprise, one of the top 500 China manufacturing enterprise and one of the top 100 China heavy machinery enterprises, well known as “the cradle of China Heavy Industries”. NHI’s products were exported to the global market, covering mining industry, bulk material handling industry, iron& steel and metallurgy industry, sand aggregate industry, energy and chemical industries, construction machinery, building material and environmental protection industries as well as other industries, totally over 500 types and 7000 specifications. For a long time, NHI has been engaged in R&D and design of major equipment for key national projects, creating many "the firsts" since the founding of nation and making significant contributions to national economy and development.
NHI is a core and backbone enterprise in China's mineral processing equipment. Many Jaw crushers, ball mills, magnetic separators and thickeners in early days of New China were produced here .Over the years, thousand sets of mining equipment have been in operation stably all over the world, creating huge value for users with excellent market reputation, which laid a solid foundation for development of aggregate equipment market by NHI. NHI is also an early enterprise to produce sand aggregate equipment. Since the 1980s, NHI had successively supplied large-scale crushing and sand making equipment for the Three Gorges project, Xiaolangdi Hydropower Station and Ertan Hydropower Station, whose product quality and technical service had been well appraised by the industry.
In the new century, NHI, through establishing joint venture companies and introducing advanced technology, had developed Fuller new type gyratory crusher, combined frame jaw crusher, multi-cylinder cone crusher and other high-end products, which made a quick response to the urgent demands of the large and environmental friendly equipment in aggregate market. These products also filled many technology blanks in China. NHI now has formed the capability to produce and manufacture the core equipment in the whole industry line of the sand aggregate, with the unparalleled advantages in complete set supply in projects.
Supported by Mixed Ownership Reform, Market Confidence Regained
In recent years, restricted by the old and backward traditional concept of state-owned enterprise and the influence of the closed and rigid system and mechanism, NHI had difficulties to adapt to the fierce market competition under conditions of market-oriented economy. The business performance has been declining year by year, and NHI was burdened with huge debts. Therefore, the enterprise reform should be imperative.
As an important and large-scale state-owned enterprise in heavy machinery equipment manufacturing, the mixed ownership reform of NHI had drawn much attention. Under the right guidance and promotion by Party Committee and Municipal Government of Liaoning and Shenyang, NHI successfully completed the judicial reorganization and mixed ownership reform on April 30, 2019, changing from the state-owned company to a mixed ownership company jointly owned by Fangda Group and common financial creditors. Liaoning Fangda Group became the largest shareholder of NHI by laws, and had brought into NHI fully market-oriented system and mechanism, abundant capital resources and complete new concept for operation and development. Through a series of measures, the deepening reform of NHI had been effectively promoted, and NHI had been significantly enhanced with vitality and competitiveness in market.
After the mixed ownership reform and under the strong support of Fangda Group, NHI successfully hosted the sixth International Aggregate Science & Technology Conference in Shenyang, China. This meeting attracted the clients from Germany, Britain, Japan, Denmark, Korea, Malaysia, India, UAE and countries along the One Belt One Road. The brand new changes of NHI had won the clients trusts, and attracted the attention of domestic and international clients.
Focusing on the advantages of technology research and development, and accelerating the pace of independent R&D for products close to market, NHI, with fresh vitality, continues to increase investment in technology research and development, purchase new graphic workstations and servers, and upgrade a number of design softwares. The first domestic heavy equipment intelligent cloud service expert management system jointly built with Shenyang Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences has been officially launched, which marked an important step towards intelligent transformation of products. At the same time, policies such as the salary allocation inclining to technology, have greatly mobilized the enthusiasm of the research and development team in tackling key problems and innovation. The high-speed and low-speed sand making machine quickly achieved the market sales, which laid a solid foundation for developing the market of complete sets of sand aggregate equipment. NHI finally stepped on the road of returning to the industry leader.
More Efforts Made to Promote the High-Quality Development of Aggregate Industry
Relying on the advantages of Fangda Group, deeply implementing the enterprise value of operating enterprise must be beneficial to the government, enterprise and employee, NHI increased the investments in sand aggregate industry with full support, and actively prompted the layout in aggregate market. The departments of sales, procurement, design, R&D and production were cooperating together to continuously upgrade the complete design and process ability of complete set of sand aggregate equipment, including exploration, design, manufacturing, installation, commissioning and operation guarantee. According to the characteristics of each region and ore materials, customer demands, ecological protection requirements and other multiple factors, customized system solutions have been made by NHI, striving to create a dynamic configuration mode of aggregate equipment at all levels to meet various market needs.
On March 27, 2020, NHI was successfully awarded with the EPC contract of 5 million t/year fine aggregate project from Gansu Huajian New Material Co., Ltd. The project located in Nanji mining area of Huajian New Material Co., Ltd. with a total investment about 70 million yuan. The plant was scheduled to be completed and put into operation by the end of December 2020. Up to now, NHI has successively been awarded with a number of major projects, such as Jingxing mine in Jiuzhou mining, Dashahe in Xingtai, Hebei, Lanzhou aggregate production line in Gansu construction investment mining, sandu'ao aggregate in Ningde, Fujian and huanshen (Shanghai) energy limestone aggregate.
NHI took the solid step in the sand aggregate market. In the future, NHI will gradually enlarge the market layout and develop towards tailing treatment as well as comprehensive treatment for wasted mines. More positive efforts will be made by NHI to speed up the transformation and upgrading of aggregate industry, technological progress and structural adjustment, further improve the manufacturing level of aggregate products and equipment, and promote the high-quality and environmental friendly development of the industry.
